Luggage is packed. Luggage is weighed. Flights are confirmed. Boarding pass is printed. Phone service is suspended. Goodbyes are said.
My flight leaves around 4:30 pm (CST) from Chicago O'Hare. I'll be in the air for just over 8 hours, until I land for my brief layover in Stockholm, Sweden around 7:30 am (Germany is 7 hours ahead of America's Central Time). I'm scheduled to arrive in Hamburg, Germany around 10:30 am.
I have a growing list of things to do once I arrive in Europe, but I'm pretty sure I got everything done that I needed to accomplish while I was home.

And So It Begins!
It's packing time! So much to sort through, so little time. I've begun the process, but I still have a long way to go. I'm slowly but surely whittling down my pre-flight to-do list, but constantly adding things I need to do once I arrive in Germany. The trick for packing is going to be deciding what things to put in my checked bags, and what to keep with me in my carry-on. Flying economy means I can't pack a whole lot in either place.
I'm looking forward to keeping in touch with everyone while I'm abroad!

I probably won't be reachable by phone while I'm overseas, so the Internet is the way to go. I can't wait to hear from you!
